Went to look at these bikes yesterday they all looked like nice bikes but what do they drive like compared to a Hornet?

Anyone?

I like the look of the Mt-03 but am concerned it might feel slow compared to my Hornet

Cheers

Catherine

I read a thing about the shiver, they said it was a fantastic bike but the electronic throttle let it down, when the guy pinned it he said it hesitated for a bit then gave you everything.

Depends on your viewpoint as to whether that is bad or good though.

I think the mt-03 is cool but just a toy- great for a town/city bike and probably fun on very twisty back roads, but get it on an open road or motorway and it will feel gutless.

MCN reviewed the mana and they reckoned it was perfect for London, all the benefits of a bike and scooter combined. But its a weird choice, would you not miss proper gears?

I think the shiver would be the best of the three... powerful enough for all uses, stylish, fun v-twin... but apparently the street triple is the same but better (although obviously you can't get hold of one at the moment). Also I heard that they plan to use the engine in a few different models and they might be making a half faired version soon, so personally if I fancied one, I'd want to wait and see what Aprilia do next if you see what I mean. If you want to try one, you know aprilia are doing this nationwide test rides campaign? https://www.experienceaprilia.co.uk Thumbs Up

I had an MT03 as a loan bike when my CBR was in for servicing a while ago. Damn thing was fun! Ok, a single cylinder aint going to get any trouse stirring going on, but you could wring its neck all day long and have a blast!

The seating position was a bit weird, lots of weight forward, but it feels much more like a motard than maybe yamaha want to admit to.

Think the Shiver will give you that all important extra grunt whilst also being as user-friendly as the others.

Plus, the shiver is probably the only bike I would be reluctant to change the cans on because the stock ones just look so damn good! Laughing ...

........alright, I'll get my coat.
