Where do you sit?

My nads are pressed as hard against the tank as humanly possible. I did think that if I were to brake too hard then though the position of the zip I would perform my own vasectomy.

From what I gather you should sit further back, but how the hell do you manage it as it feels like I'm sticking may arse in the air?

I kind of sit in the middle of the seat for a twisty / fast ride or a wheelie.

For a top speed run its full on flying fetus.

Around town /slow riding its against the tank with the legs sticking out Laughing

On my bike i feel comfortably stretched out most of the time, nads are miles away from the the tank thankfully. And i get further away from the tank as i speed up normally, whilst trying to hang on Laughing Razz

Green = normal position the comute

Blue = going for it.

Moving between the 2 = normal ride. As I brake I sit up and do the whole legs out an arms out to slow down

you're supposed to ride a fag packets width from the tank. Brace with your knees when braking and toes on the pegs unless braking or changing gear.

Takes a bit of practice but it does work!

i ride right up against my tank too, i know it isnt right but it's hard to get out of the habbit now, everytime i think about and try it i come to a bend and move forward again, or if i get it going when i stop and get back on the bike i go back to my normal style, so im not really getting anywhere with changing my position. it's hard Sad

In the middle usually though I haven't quite mastered using my legs rather than my arms yet to hold me up so I still get wrist pains. I push my arse further back when ducking in behind the screen to go fast though. Braking hard gives me a bit of leeway to slide forward before my balls get crushed by doing it this way.

If you want to break the habit do a full on emergency stop from 40. You only squish your plums once to learn the lesson.

I learned mine from a plum-tank-wheel-pothole interface.

I usually sit away from the tank, but when I crashed last year I ended up with a lovely dent in the tank, just where your male bits would be. It still flippin hurt being female Shocked

Strangely enough my very long legs give me a perfect position; knees braced firmly in the hollows in the sides of the tank that seem made for it and my arse against the rear pod when hooning. A more forward position when relaxed.

I adopt a position similar to mc gee's green man. Hooning it in twisties is the same as his blue man. I AM McGees blue and green man - where is the yellow man?

Rolling Eyes

If i sit too far towards the front, i lock my arms out and it's not a good thing. shuffle a little back and it becomes more relaxed. With pillions, i'm forced to sit balls on tank.

I like to sit forward (close to the tank) as I feel it gives me more control at low speed. Although, yes, I have thought about what would happen to my bollocks if I had to brake hard.

Generally halfway between the pillion seat and the riders seat is comfortable for me.

The ER-5 I did my DAS forced me into a position right up against the tank. I still have a vivid recollection of how the pins and needles felt as the blood supply was reestablished at a set of lights.
