For my trip of Spain & France I am considering getting a shorty open face helmet. At the moment I have a Davida but it still isn’t panned in and won’t be for quite a while unless I sleep in it. Anyway what’s the score with riding in UK with a DOT helmet on. I know they are not UK approved but what are the coppers like on this subject. I personally have never seen anyone have their helmet checked. I will be wearing the helmet as I ride to the ferry and back

Erm considering I've seen tons of people wear non legal nazi style helmets made out of thin plastic not get stopped I doubt there will be a problem.
