Received a letter today from the criminal justice system saying that on the 4th of April the guy who knocked me off my VFR750 pleaded guilty to "driving with out due care and attention" and was given a £500 fine and 6 points. Laughing

Quite happy with that but still waiting for comp to be settled

Nice one Thumbs Up Did the courts make him pay you any money? In my case they made him give me £300 out of his own pocket - not including the compo etc.

I wouldn't count on it. They'll still try it on. Someone u-turned in front of my bike several years ago and was done for driving without due care by a copper who saw me plough into the drivers door.

Insurance company were still arguing the toss three months later because although he'd been done for driving without due care, he was still whinging on about someone having flashed him out and was refusing to admit liability. I had to threaten to take him to court before they coughed up.

I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles.

His insurance admitted liability after a few months and payed out 2x what the bike was worth its just my solicitor and his insurance company working out what to pay injury wise for a on going knee injury and scaring.
