I definitely don't condone any kind of vandalism, however it looks like very little 'real' damage has been done to it - £100 would probably see it being just as good a bike again (new lock), but a much, much less useful tarting tool.

on my R1, if i'd have lost the key with the immobilizer chip built in you could replace the ECU with race one at a price of 150 quid. no need for the immobilizer key then.

Doesn't matter that it's a bike. It could have been anything. My problem is that it wasn't his in the first place to damage and if I had caught him doing it I would be the one in trouble.
