im no longer engaged... i fucked up

me and my fiance have decided to break up for various reasons, we keep arguing and cant seem to be happy together so we decided to break up now instead of dragging it out for a long messy breakup.

a year and a half and now nothing, i can only feel sorry for people in loving relationships of longer that break up.

no real reason to post, and nothing else to say really, apart from don't get engaged when your 18 unless your 400% sure of it.

I can sympathise, I was engaged and living with a guy when I was 19. That ended badly for both of us and it is a horrible feeling.

back to the single life i recon, im going to be using the cg for a while though, the 250 is a bit too easy to get into danger on, and with my state of mind ill only wheelie into a bus to get some excitement back into my life

Tough one, i mean as an intelligent adult, you know it'll get better. The feeling is pretty bad, but you wonder just how long.

All i'd say is that there is 100% garantee it'll get better.

Also it sounds like you broke things off due to the fact your constantly hurting each other, this should mean in the near future you can probably talk about it, or just be a friend to her.

Either way you'll come out stronger and up for some fun.

Seriously this can be a really bad time... and you have to TRY to find a few positive things. If it was a mutual thing then this is normally easier. Sometimes a break can be good though and you realise that you were both causing rows for silly reasons..

(sorry if I sound like claire raynor but I have a degree in this crap..seriously)

The worst thing you can do is to do the what ifs... its happened and you have to get on with things the best you possibly can. My soon to be hubby and I have just got over a 8 month VERY rough patch. We argued about loads of things, broke up 3 times but now we are planning on getting married shortly.

18 months is the first crunch point of many relationships. Basically because the initial feelings you get when you first meet someone have worn off.. you have had your first christmas, first birthdays together, first anniversary etc... and now what.. After 18 months it just seems to take more effort...

If it really is over, enjoy being single for a bit if you can.. as the worst thing anyone can ever do is relationship jump.

Know what your going through. My ex broke up with me last July after 3 years. Took me 6 months to feel better. But as everyone has said it does get better with time. Just dosen't feel like it ever will at the time!

Just as i had given up on relationships i met the perfect woman. I know realise how wrong me and my ex where for each other and finnaly saw how horrible she was to me for all those years.

Do yourself a favour tho and don't go see her. You broke up for a reason. You may get back together but it seldom lasts and you'll end up right back where you started.

Everything happens for a reason. May not feel like it at the time but trust me its very true!
