Grrr.

Quick question.

Our washing machine which was fine this morning has now got a puddle of water inside the drum which has meant that all the clothes in the washing machine are absolutely drenched through as obviously the spinning isn't going to do much with water sloshing about.

Anything I can do myself before I have to wait days for my landlord to sort out getting machine bloody looked at?

Right pain in the arse, haven't got a tumbledrier so got to bloody hang it up!

Cheers.

Some washing machines have a panel on the front near the bottom. Behind that is a plug of sorts that usually ends of full of pennies or the crap from clothes that falls out/off.

If there is, and you open it, it will piss water everywhere, so get a bowl to hand!

If it doesn't have that, turn it off for 10/15mins, then back on and put it on the final spin setting. Might be the 'computer' that's knackered, I've had that before.

I'd agree - its usually the pump that gets blocked with stuff.

I had a washer/drier once that had a blockage in the waste pipe.

I paid a £65 call-out charge once because my missus "forgot" to check the filter and the machine wouldn't drain, I'd advise checking that first.

Can I point out the obvious?

Why, exactly, are you washing your clothes? You're supposed to be a dirty stinky student! Wink

Is the waste pipe still properly attached?
