You touch the exhausts down too?

Get sometime a bit higher on there!

I happen to think that Hi-level's look pretty ok on monsters and SS's. Wink

I have high levels, but I took them off. Pic attached.

I want some low level carbon jobbies. But I seem to be very efficient at rinsing all my monies, so not yet.

I'll have to get myself up to those roundabouts and have a play - they always seem so busy normally though. What time was that garth?

If you dont hang off a bit more on track you will probably crash, ground clearence doesnt look brilliant on that.

It's the farings rather than anything else, I'm even tempted to take the bottom half off.

Standard road fairings it seems ok.

Nah i mean the exhausts, if they are that close to the floor on the road on track im sure they will scrape, then probably after that you will get your whole body down, stick the high levels on for track.

2cts, yes.

The high levels can go back on, but I'm a bit concerned about noise testing etc Confused

It's not painted because it's a track fairing. The fit ain't fantastic and I can't be arsed to spray it. I might do at some point, probably when I take them off to refit the originals.

Garth, my TLR which had fairly high level cans and rearsets was only about 1 inch from scraping on track, god only knows where id be if i had cans which are that low.

Ive never been tested on any track, sure you can get some cheapo DB killer things anyway.
If they do test which is highly unlikely, rip them out after Smile

They do test at all MSV circuits these days. Most systems seem designed to fall within the limits though (unless you're on a quiet day) and you don't see many fails.

There tends to be someone conveniently selling db killers on hand, just in case.

What makes it a track fairing? Is it just an unpainted one you don't care about scraping? Or are the materials different?

It's Mallory Park, not sure if that's MSV.

Edit; it's not.

Ok might whack them back on at the weekend. When they were on last time I swear it affected the handling but that may just be in my head Confused

Track fairings are usually made of fibreglass (easier to patch back together), generally don't have fripparies like headlight holes or anywhere for your indicators and tend to come in fewer pieces then equivalent road plastics cos they usually have an enclosed bellypan (to catch all the shite when your engine blows up).

Much cheaper than road plastics as the fit and finish doesn't have to be anywhere near the same standard.

Cheers Thumbs Up I asked because Garth's looks very similar to the original on his Duke (vents, headlight aperture etc), apart from the finish.

That'll be because I cut all the vents out so I can use it on the road.
