This thread is worthless without pics. Laughing

Is it held on with some sort of string or twine?

Anyway yeah you'll get a 30 quid fine. If you explain the situation to the copper and say it's your only transport he may be leaniant with you.

Was that when you were doing your weekly tyre pressure checks or checking the tension of your chain. Shocked

Should be as simple as that, sadly though you are probably not compliant with BSAU145d.

Road Legal number plates must have the makers RNPS number, supplying outlet name and postcode and British Standard number on the bottom of the plate.

just get a "show plate" off ebay,

mines a 8x6 so it looks close enough to legal but fits the size of the rear end a lot better. obviously they dont come with bsu marks etc but i cant imagine any police officer is going to be that strict. it still has legal font and everything and probably costs half the price of an official one

Oh, and tell el plod. I had them phone me up saying my car had driven off from a petrol station after failing to pay at 3am, then I nipped outside and saw some scrote had swiped my front plate.

Evil or Very Mad

Reported it as a theft, so no further issues if it was used by some scumbag for something nefarious...

Now, I thought it was as above to sell 'road legal' number-plates, Otherwise you have to sell them as 'show plates'. Yet not illegal to ride with a one as long as it conformed to the regulatory sizes, colours.

So although the above is required for a number-plate to be sold as a number-plate, It's not necessarily for a plate to be legal for road use.

If you get me?

However I don't think a piece of cardboard is going to cut it Laughing
