It's clear that this country is going backwards, the seemingly unsaid goal would appear to be simple population control with the class divide worse now than it has ever been.

we are heading to a time where only the richest of people will be able to afford the luxury of private travel and the freedoms this brings.

the poor are being kept poor, the all but the highest earners are being taxed in to oblivion.

There are more media controls in place than you could possibly imagine

And why do you think Governments provide so much support in terms of revised / new legislation on Internet piracy / file sharing. It is because the same laws and steps taken now that supposedly protect copyright can be used to strangel and control internet traffic providing an element of internet media control.

The Great British public is slowly but surely being pushed back to a communication / travel scenario not seen since the middle ages.

After all that way we are so much easier to control...

Nah you got it right warped, I really really look forward to the day that either we get an election and we can get rid of labour (hopefully forever), or some kinda uprising occurs to get rid of the bull that happens.

You are wrong an uprising will never happen,

If you have a read of 1984 there is this bit in the book where winston smith writes:

"if there is to be any hope it is to be in the proles"

The public are distracted by more important things like celebs bread and circuses, I used to think idealistically that this society this country was worth defending and used to demonstrate sign petitions etc...

But over time have realised what Hetzer has said it ultimately true that the population is cowed and in anycase no longer worth defending. Hell people will even defend the current system either liking it wanting MORE intrusion and or ignoring it.

Take the post about CCTV recently Killa effectively defended the totalitarian ideals of the UK, he also defended paying high prices in my other post about why things cost so much here.

So why bother to defend that? ,

So why do you think I collect citizenships of other countries?.

As said I don't want my hypothetical children to grow up like this thus I choose to leave come 2010.

The tragedy is that you've only just realised it, many people in will come to realise this but by then it'll be far too late.

Additional the UK is doomed either way ,

I read an article today to service the interest on the 3.36 trillion of debt (note last week it was 3.26 trillion thats 12 zeros btw £3360,000,000,000 but the bond swap added 100bn to the debt last week).

Is 96bn and thats JUST interest alone, none of the capital is paid off, which means 1/6 of the money is to service interest, it means the future is rather grim , in that not only does 100% of income tax pay for 'social welfare' but all your VAT, your NI , your petrol tax is spend on sevicing this debt.

Gotta say itchy, that as I may only just be realising what's going in the world, but then I'm only 18, and a lot of my friends are very intelligent on the subject, I really think that given enough motivation and drive something could be done.

The ball is rolling, people are catching on, eventually society will snap and there will be war on the streets. Any militant action taken against our government will be labeled terrorism and not be taken lightly, shoot-to-kill, being locked up without trial, assets seized etc.

Most people will be happy to bury their heads in the sand and stay out of trouble, they do not deserve the freedom they are so happy to give away.

I have images of me wearing a helmet controlling my brain waves as I work in a mine for the nano bots that are increasing the life span of the upper classes. WTF are you on about, if you want to look at this way, fine, but in my opinion you can’t have it all your way, you always have, and always will be pond life.

I wonder what your views are on the police, because I’m pretty sure unless you’ve commited serious crimes, that I’ve been involved with the police a lot more than yourself. I get tired of trying to tell people about the appalling workmanship in general and the system they run. There’s an awful lot you don’t know about me, so don’t assume I don’t care for people like me, because some computer issues a fine automatically. Rolling Eyes

The difference being though is that I do a hell of a lot more than you in the way of not paying these rises and adhering to new legislation. I hope you bothered to read all my posts, I doubt very much that you implement the same thought into your daily living as I do.
You my friend are the one who is, all talk.

I have never claimed and never wanted to be a leader of some sort of counter attack to this government squeeze, but trust me, if there’s an opening to do something, id be very interested. When I talk of CCTV and intrusion into my personal life I take into consideration that they probably know a hell of a lot more about me than even you claim they do. And I doubt for one minute you know about every type of information held about me, by them.

I believe, sadly, the the film "Children of Men" apart from the impotency bullshit shows a pretty accurate depiction of Britains potential future

The college where I work have cut A levels due to government funding changes. . . .they are now promoting hairdressing.

I predict we will have a nation of people who can cut and colour hair very very well, but not spell.

Sorry but we already have a nation that cannot spell, this thread is a shining example of that.

The reason not everyone has replied to this thread is because it's the same thing being rehashed over and again, the guy is a moron, Tony Blair was a moron, he just pulled it off with a bit more flair. And anyone else you vote in will be a moron, there is no alternative, the country is doomed, and despite everyone's whinging that nobody stands up, they don't either.

You can't stand up because unless you don't value your freedom (criminal record) you have no way to. The only way to stand up is to vote, and as the only people you can vote for are all the same there is nothing you can do.

It all bothers me, but as there's nothing you can do about it the only option is to get out and then it's no longer your problem, so I too plan to ditch the country (and the EU) within 2years.

im not standing up, im comfy on my sofa

Although this country has its problems, Im not entirely convinced that other countries dont have problems too.

I quite like the idea of researching somewhere that might be better to live, but places that are cheap in the short term, dont offer much income in the long term unless you have a marketable skill, which I dont really.

Pho will be ok with his lorry driving.

I guess i should be researching what marketable skill to try for.

Someone has told me of a british style pub in america that always needs bar staff, where they pay cash in hand so you dont need a working visa. I have to admit its a bit tempting, but not really a good long term plan.

Why did you think it was a working man's club?

Because we all ride bikes?

I think you'll find that there is a wide range of political views represented by the membership of this forum.

Not everyone supports the anarchistic viewpoint.

We live in a democracy which, for all its faults, is still a better form of government than many others you see around the world.

If you don't like what the current government are doing then vote them out.

Some people say that it doesn't matter who gets in, they're all the same. If you feel that then go into politics yourself and stand for parliament so you can start to make changes from the inside.

Rising 'up in arms' just isn't going to happen in this country. We have a relatively good standard of living here.

Yes, there are lots of things that many people would like to see changed (personally I'd like to see the police switching their attentions from easy target motorists committing minor offences to going after the criminals who affect our daily lives) but they don't impact on daily lives enough to start a rebellion.

Also, I think that constantly using abusive language to describe people just makes the majority dismissive of your arguments as it makes you come across as yet another socialist/anarchist/whatever who does nothing but rant on.

If there is enough of us and we stand up for the same cause then we can do anything!

We have the right to freedom of speech and the freedom to do what we want when we want for the right cause!

We need to stand up and we need to stand up now!

Cheers

So what are you actually going to do then?

No, because he is an idiot who actually has jack shit to say, so repeats himself in this thread trying to sound clever and like a new messiah. I dont really know anything about politics either, so I ask questions not start a thread on the back of watching a show on telly and then repeat myself over and over and over.

"Come on my people lets stand as one, now is the time"

Do you even know what you want to stand against warped?

(without doing a quick search to find an answer that is.)

Nah I am just stating the obvious. That is the reason his "political" thread has not got the replies or support he would like, he wants people to "stand with him" but has not said how/why/where/when.

He is not planning anything, he is just trying to sound radical and its not working.

My guess is that he has not managed to quit/cut down on the booze as he said and this is the result.
