How does one go about upgrading the licence from 33bhp to full power? Im sure i read somewhere about accelerated access but I cant find to much on it. Is it just simply another test? I've still got a year and about 4 months on a restricted licence and i may be selling my 400 and using the miss's ZX10R.

Thanks in advance for reply Thumbs Up

Basically, you re-do your test on a DAS-suitable bike (over 50 HP or thereabouts)
You still have to be over 21, if that's relevant to you.

Yup, you have to be 21 and you have to do it on a DAS suitable test. And it's virtually the exact same test, just on a bigger bike.

Depends on the schools in your area, ring around and see what they offer. I'd imagine most of them would at least want you do a lesson or two on the 500 before the test, but you won't know till you ask.

So you have to wait the full two years before you automatically get a full licence, rather than getting it as soon as you turn 21?

Yeah thats right aaron. You could be any age 17+ and do the standard test and be restricted for 2 years so i'm told.

Guess it's time to get ringing round. Wish i had waited another half a year now. Stupid test changes making me think "get it done now before they make it harder" Laughing
