Hey, just changed the design slightly on my website and cut the graphics up so it loads quicker (still slow, but its only on NTL hosting!!)

Just was after some opinions on it?? (constructive please!!)

And cheers to R6Stu for the rim polishing guide.

"www.r6-yzf.co.uk was originally started simply to progress my design and coding skills for a possible career change! Gradually it's becoming more and more useful for visitors and I try to update as regular as possible to keep the content fresh and interesting!"

It's as it says, I want to get into web design full time, so started on a website, never planned to stick it online or owt but hey I thought I might as well. R6's just seemed logical to be honest, lots of people have sites about things they don't own.

I've just had a quick read through it, it is quite difficult to read the specs page because of the choice of colours. The knee down guide, why is it called a guide when in no way does it actually help you in any way to get your knee down? no hints or tips on there from what I could see :s

Quite nice.

But I got a PC with a high resolution monitor for a reason, and it's annoying to have websites which only use a fraction of the screen IMHO.

And the invoice for using my photos will be arriving shortly Razz

I've not delved into it yet but the main page wasn't sluggish.
Check the spelling in the welcome dialog and maybe change the need to scroll down - or make the scroll bar bolder - i didn't notice it was a scrollbar until it moved when i tried to find out why half a line of text was missing.

If you click "my bike" there's no mention of a R6, surely you have one?

Maybe the info / mods / specs / etc... text across the top could be linked too.

as for the information, i don't have a R6 and aren't into sporty bikes until i've got the money but it looks good so far, and i also happen to like Aeroblades!

How come you have a pic of Dusty? As his manager I insist that you pay me the £10,000 royalty fee.

I will take 15% of course...

He requires recompense and reimbursement for his hours o knee down practice! Razz

Looks good Yams, passes the test of my dodgy 800x600 monitor well. Like the layout of your guest book. Thumbs Up Smile

Shocked Does it look alright in 800x600???

It's designed to look best in 1024 upwards only, I know lots of people are on 8x6, but hey, its my site Razz and i don't know anyone that runs 8x6 other than you dusty

so it does look alright in small resolutions then?

The edge of the iframe lines up with the right hand side of the screen pretty well. You loose the front of the red bike and the white text at the bottom look a bit odd, but otherwise it looks ok at 8x6.
