Looking for a decent 2 person tent to carry on the bike. Any idea's??

I'm gonna go round scotland for the week in June so want something lightweight and small to pack up but will stand up to a weather change. Price isn't too much of an issue as it'll be a birthday present. Very Happy

I've had the same 2 man tent for about 10 years...still perfectly useable condition...Cost about £30 quid back then when i first bought it.
I would'ntbother spending loads of money on one, they all do the same thing, unless your gonna be sleeping out in cold conditions, but even then it's the sleeping bag that's inportant. Thumbs Up
There will be loads on ebay

I have a vango spirit 200 tent which fits into a pannier. 2 person with a HUGE porch and a 4 season. I had trouble with the poles snapping on mine but they are a different make now (no sir, there aren't problems with the poles, we just changed suppliers because errr, umm.).

Or check out a company called "lightwave". I met the guy who designed and made these, very enthusiastic and knows his stuff.

I'd go into a few largish camping shops where you can see them up as well as packed.

If you can afford it, the 3 second pop up ones (proper decent ones) are the shizz, my mate has one.

Try this for size, small enough and light enough for the back of a bike.

I've got the Rage Bodo 3 tent, it's a 3 man but I'm a big fucker and I like to spread myself and my shit out. Plenty of space and comes in a good zip up bag with extra straps.

Paid 20 quid for it off ebay (+ postage) from tentastic.co.uk

Gelert are the best (in my opinion). I have a rocky 4. Sleeps two easily but will sleep 4. 3.4kg and sits on top of my panniers with ease. Very Happy
