Sorry abt the avitar! Just haven't changed it yet..

The bike is an x-reg, with around 5K miles on the clock. Got it for roughly 2 grand. In great condition, runs like a dream!

It is an import though.................

Seems like a good deal you got yourself there mate.

So what about the restrictions?

I had a UK bike so it were alot more strait forward, but i know you have to mess around with the CDI if you want a full power pocket rocket! Razz

I'm sorry but I'm pretty excited about my baby...........haven't even got it yet as such! Going to pick it up later in the week.

It's retricted for the mo, but I'm not too worried about derestricting yet but yeah, it'll take some messing about to derestrict - not something i'll be doing by meself on the weekend! Bit worried about km display on speedo though...

I'd get one of them stick on MPH things, no point on stickin new clocks on. Doubt you will make the money back when you come to sell.

Loads of people on the site with NSR experiance so when you do decide to de-restrict you will be alright.

How much did insurance set you back?

best insurance quote I got was £695 TPFT........still going to try to better it though!

The guy I'm getting the bike off said he'd have a look round for some mph clocks for me but I'd be interested to know how much you'd sell to me for Danny, PM me if you want. Would stickers really be any good?

I'd rarther have the proper clocks given the choice. I know what dealers are like for parts, wouldnt like to guess how much they would want for new clock.

If danny can sort you out a good deal then go for it..How many miles do they have on them danny? Wink

What you need to do is go for the personal approach.

You can't just name a bike/car anything (same goes for most seemingly inanimate objects).
Take your time with it and find out whether it is male or female - personally I'm getting female vibes, but I could be wrong. Then very gently coax his/her name out. It'll pop into your head. Very Happy

all mine have always had the same name

"the bike"

I mean, you have to use it in a sentence don't you

I'm going out on the bike
I had the bike up to 180 today
I got nicked on the bike last week etc..

how daft is this

Im going out on Gladys
I had Richard up to 180 today
I got nicked on Margaret last week etc..

I can only think of one name for a bike that doesn't fit this rule and that is Bucephalus - but he's a clever one that Lucky

Nice bike! Recently bought a Y plate NSR in black/silver with 5600 miles on it from Wingchunal (Alex) in Milton Keynes. It's for my bro and were both doing our CBTs on Thursday w00t! I'll be buying one soon too, although I expect it will be a bit older as i'm a bit skint lately. Can probably afford £900 if anyone knows for one?
