Hey all,

I took my Gilera Coguar 125 out yesterday on a nice open road. The bike would not go above 65mphp and when it was doing that speed the engine shook so badly I though it was about to explode. What speed are these bikes capable of and is it normal for all the vibration from the engine?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

Not ridden a Coguar. However I would expect it to be a bit faster than that (but not much). Probably 70 top, maybe 75 if you crouch down over the tank (will look very silly on that bike). I would expect some vibration as well, but not much. Less than using a hammer action drill, for example.

All the best

Keith

If its a single cylinder I wouldn't expect much over 70, I ride a suzuki marauder 125, which is a cruiser and to get it to 65 you have to make the engine scream.

yea i've only got 70 out of mine but on the other hand it is a cruiser after all, I got a reasonable deal with mine so im well happy with it until I get my test. It's quite low tuned for a 125 as well they've tried to hard to make it sound like a cruiser.
