Evidence Ref A:

As this photo quite clearly demonstrates I pronounced my NSR 'ragged' 1 month ago tommorow.
So in other words I've been off the roads for just a month now, and last time I checked unleaded was just about £1.09 per litre.
About 15 minutes ago I cycled to the garage to fetch some cigars for the old dear and I was greeted by a horrific sight... 1 pound and 12 feckin pence of my hard earned money!
When did this happen? Why can the corporations and taxing wankers be aloud to mug us off like this? I remember a time back as a kid when unleaded was 92p /litre or less. I'm seeing about that loan tommorow so I may be back on the roads with an even more expensive to run machine in a matter of weeks, needless to say this news hs left me seething.
Infact as soon as I'm back on my next set of wheels who's up for a mass rideout to london to cause some rucus? |

where is it £1.12? last I filled up it was 1.09, but I remember a few months ago I was a bit surprised at seeing diesel at over 1.10, (on a motorway services mind.)
Ironically I would be up for a mass gridlock of the capitol but I can't afford the petrol
OT dont supose you want to sell me the flippy up bit of your petrol cap, not the big bit, the keyhole cover bit, I managed to break mine in a crash somehow |

one of the reasons why ive reverted from Car to Bike, just happened to be that the cars a diesel, so automatically pay 10p/L more than petrol anyway, than theres the £1K insurance, coz im a boyracer and an IAM member at the same time, than the road tax, which is apparantly going up, and so on, and so forth.....
theres a war agianst the motorist, you see, the global boring issue is now well emphisised by Fhurher Brown and co, so they can bring in all sorts of bullshit green taxes, to hide labours spending imcompetance.
attended the last round of fuel protests in early december, but Joe Public diddnt really mind getting shafted up the arse with fuel costs, so only 9 of us were there
when i first passed the driving test nov. 2006, diesel was about 88p/L, now its about 115p/L, 5 pence less for unleaded

As I've said hyper inflation I too remember it being about 91-92 this time last year = 18% inflation which rubbishes the government's CPI (which does not include fuel , housing costs, taxes , food , etc) 2.5% figure.
Since all I buy is petrol + food my inflation is running at about 40% YoY since these prices have been jumping and its only April. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. You can only remember when it was 92p litre.
I can remember when it was 65p.
There's a shut down petrol station near my house that still has the sign up and it says 69.9p
Seems such a long time ago now though. |

God you make me feel old
When i had my first bike petrol was 36.9 p per litre !
What really bites me over this is that the cost increase is down to the bloody americans and the value of the dollar.
Yet they are only paying just over 3 dollars per gallon.
The goverment don't give a shite and certainly won't help motorists by reducing the tax on fuel until the price of oil drops to a realistic price. ____________________ (L)users...Disk space is to good for them.

I remember by dad bitchin' when 4 Star hit £1/gallon, but I couldn't remember when exactly, the AA however have created a pdf to download which list petrol prices from 1896-2005: Petrol Prices 1896 todate gallons.pdf, so I guess it was around '79/'80. ____________________ My claim to fame: Austin Vince nicked my pen... |

Diesel is £124.9 at a lot of places now, bad to be driving something that does less than 20mpg.
Vegetable Oil has massively gone up in price as well, £1/litre for it in lots of places cos of people catching onto it's use as an alternative fuel. |

you can make 2500 litres of fuel before the government want any tax,
but seeing as veg oil is nearing £1 a litre even the big jugs of cooking stuff you get at the cash and carry, its barely cheaper unless you can get cooking oil cheaply elsewhere. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. It's also down to speculators putting all their money into oil as a hedge with all the economic turmoil atm, pushing the price up beyond what it would be if it were just down to the demand from people who actually use oil. |
