On the subject of riding attire, i decided to put it here.

I guess it's a problem that affects many of us here because for convenience, we'd rather go out and wear our jeans and trainers when doing day to day riding to the shops and in town.

Now it's become apparent recently that i've started killing off some very pricey pairs of jeans and i can't seem to understand why. All i notice is that it's only started happening whilst riding the bigger 6, where moving about on it is critical in order so that you want the bike to go where you want it to go.

It's a bit of a silly rant, but when decent pairs of jeans cost more than 40 quid a pop (i tell a lie, i buy them at outlets and TK maxx and stuff - but this is RRP i'm talking about), it's starting to get a bit expensive. Are there any suggestions for retrofitting the guch area to prevent elasticating the fibres and causing them to fray?

https://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh313/Titot01/random%20stuff/guch.jpg?t=1209917030

I mean you can actually see clear daylight here, so that's where your scrot should normally reside.

What alternatives are there? For the time being, i'm trying to justify spending 90 quid that i'd rather NOT spend on a pair of riding jeans that'll be comfortable for walking about it and won't chafe etc?

So how many of you suffer from this problem.

Off the record, my jeans are 32" x 32" so i'm not exactly portly, but i do have big thighs.

Wrong.

Guiche is generally pronounced "GEESH" but thanks to MTV's Jackass, many people may (incorrectly) pronounce it "GOOCH".

Now you know. Write it out a hundred times.

Spend the money on dragging jeans or what ever. Shouldn't go through then.

But don't think like I did the original ones will be stylish. They aren't. Embarassed

I think it's the airbox pixies or the fuse pixies trying to get some penetration in me. Obviously they cant penetrate rough and tough leather, but they're more than capable of scything through denim! Crying or Very sad . I've worn through a pair of gas jeans, levi's jeans, fenchurch, 2x Gaps (CRAPS) all on the bike and all on the gooch Crying or Very sad . There must be a kevlar retrofit for standard jeans? Come on all you design tech students/product designers, i think this is a good cause?

Sure your not enthatically rubbing your baw sack place
over your fuel tank for cheap thrills?

Riding doesn't do that to your jeans - even cheap ones.

I suggest one more shake of the old soldier when peeing. Less corrosive juice = less goochy goochy or whatever.

Mmm...

You must do a fair bit of leaning to get that to happen, I'd recommend corduroy patches: frightfully fashionable and will make your crotch look learned. Laughing

Thumbs Up

I've never had any problems with any jeans tbh. I lean and move around a lot of the time and never had any problems. My jeans range from cheap asda/tk maxx/tesco jobbies to expensive pepe jeans...

I think Titz just trying to show something off Wink

What material is the seat made from?

How about some of these but in a larger size so they slip over your jeans?
