The emissions rules only apply to Cars, despite many bikes producing less than 100g of CO2 they won't be exempt from paying tax.

As previously mentioned the tax for motorcycles will be instead doubled!

This is stupid, they ought to be encouraging people to use bikes as a means to reduce emissions AND conjestion.

Does this exemption of tax only apply to new vechicles? If not you could lead to the lower cc car being a more economically viable option, leading to more cars on the road. More cars=more conjestion, will could lead to the introduction of widespread conjestion charges!

This rising taxation combined with an economic recession has all the ingredients to leading to a rough time for many. People are going to get so pissed off, A repeatition of the 80s riots maybe?

This is all speculation of course!
