HI there i ve got DT125r just for use off road and i was wondering if any cud give me advice on wat filter to buy? k&N or pipercross? which gives the best performance?

They are about the same so go for whatever is cheapest.

dus ne1 know if you have to rejet the carb with a pipercross filter? i know you have to with a k&N. its a 210 thats in it jus now and i bought a 260 ythe otha day so will that be ok wi a pipercross filter?

Late model DT125's have a 210 main jet, and if you de-restrict it you need a 240-260main jet or it'll seize pronto. Your open filter will afect jetting, but not at all throttle openings, so it willbe a case of playing with the main jet, and needle jet/clip position, so that it runs right all the way through, or you will just have flat spots, even if you get the main right. I would say try the 260MJ and do a plug chop, and get it right at full throttle. Then you can try to sort out any midrange problems with the needle position and air screw, and failing that you might need different size pilot jet, needle jet etc.

If the sprockets are still standard on the dt i would be inclined to leave the filter as standard and play with gearing to find the extra grunt for off road use.
