For those that care or care to remember I shuffled off to Oz around three weeks back.

Well I started work today, and so have a computer and internet access that doesn't cost, so I'll be back on here again. How exciting that must be for you all.

The move has been emotional to say the least. 24hrs on two planes with a 15month old child was interesting. Trying to find a house in Brisbane was even more so. We spent two weeks looking, saw over thirty houses, and just found one last week, and then the boss insisted we painted it white over the weekend. That was a fucking bastard of a job.

In the persuit of saving money for a bike I have bought a Daewoo, never thought I'd say that, but it will do the job fine.

My gear is all on the slow boat, so won't get it for four months, but may have to get a bike out here before then so I have some personal transport. Oh, and there are some absolutely astonishing roads out here. Pics and (eventually) video to follow. Weather is awesome. The forecast has been for sunny days since we arrived, and temp in the mid to high 20s. Fooking lovely.

Will post some pics up of shizzle if any interest in them, otherwise I'll be posting in the small hours from now on.

Laters people.

Visited Brisbane a good few years back, work related so not much time for the sights. A good choice but from what I remember can get bloody hot and humid. Air-con full blast in the office, then some guys even had remote start on the cars so the air-con (or just air as the car adverts had it) was on as they got into them. Also the cars had the louvre fins over the back window and fur on the dash to keep them cool (not that they looked cool you understand :wink).

Hope you have a great time there. Wish I'd taken the chance and looked around for a job offer while I was there.

Thumbs Up
