I've NEVER had that happen . While the caliper is off does the wheel spin OK, if it does the you have the problem in your hand. Your caliper piston is sticking hence it won't go back in, you'll need to loosen the bleed bolt/nipple, get the pads out and give it a bloody good clean (get proper caliper cleaner). Is the piston/s bad with rust or still shiny crome. if their crome you should be able to work them back and forward to loosen them off. re-bleed brakes should solve prob. If the wheels still stiff with the brake off must be the bearings |

Loosen the cap on the brake res on the handlebars.
Get something like a G clamp. Bit of wood over the piston (to protect it) on the brake and gently squeze it back in.
If its fully in bits i would get a seal kit and replace the old one's. As its the seals that tend to expand and cause the major problems. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |
