Anyone heard of or even rode any of these? The shop where I work has recently taken on the dealership. The Hammer S is an awesome bit of kit. Just wondering how many people know of them and whether or not they think they are good. Smile

Some piccies:

The hammer looks alright other than the exhausts, the next one looks minging, and the wheels just look like those Chinese 125 cruisers.

Top one looks like a poor attempt at copying a v- rod, as Guv said the second one looks like a cheapo chinese cruiser, especially the wheels, and the panniers etc really don't suit the shape of it.

Top one does look quite nice to me though, but then I also like the V- rod, sooo...

Never heard of them but i quite like the top one even though i'm not much for cruisers.

If i had to buy that kind of bike i think i'd go for a Virago. Just love the look of them Smile

They are both 1634cc long-stroke v-twins. The top one is a major improvement over a V-rod I'll have you know! Smile

A gentleman came to the shop the other day to ride the Hammer S and preferred it to his V-rod. The engine is smoother, it handles better, stops better and doesn't rust like a Harley.

They both have brembo brakes and the Hammer has Marzocchi forks with really light wheels and a 250 section rear tyre. Smile

I have ridden the Hammer myself now and being a sportsbike fan and not really liking the cruiser scene that much I was completely shocked by how well this bloody thing rides. It doesn't dive when you slam on the anchors and it doesn't get out of shape when you open the taps through the twisties.

Completely shocked. I didn't expect it to be like that at all...

I found specification of hammer. But Max power and Max torque were not in it.
Why US cruisers don't specify Max engine specs! I searched more and found this Smile .
Quote:
Victory states that the Hammer’s output is 88 horsepower at 4,500 rpm and 110 lb-ft at 2,500 revs, up by 10 horses and 22 lb-ft compared to the 92-inch version (measured at the crankshaft). On Barnett’s Dynojet dynamometer we recorded 77.1 rear-wheel horsepower at 4,600 rpm and 98.4 lb-ft of torque at 2,700 rpm from our test bike

IMO, Customers have right to know about the specification of the bike before buying even if it's meaningless or pointless. Bike makers have duty to specify them.

I saw some advertising web-site https://www.polarisindustries.com/en-us/Victory/Vision/Colors/
I liked it when I first seen it but not to sure now, I have had Quads and Polaris do make some good ones.
The price is hight I think but it looks a lot of bike, I would need to see one close up to make a decision,
What I do wonder is a 1600 cc in a twin, (fcuk) Do they need to pull houses

Just came back from a ride to Llandovery (West End Café) I was on my 'Storm and my boss was on the Hammer S. Weather is awesome and the home-made lemon cheesecake I had was awesome too.

The Hammer is being much loved by my boss, he usually rides the MV Agusta F4 312R amongst other toys but he's completely absorbed in this bike now!

If you are interested in one I would definitely recommend a test ride. We're having an open weekend in June (14th and 15th) where you can test ride all the Victory range as well as the Benellis, MV's, Moto Morinis and even our 1100cc Buggy. Smile

I know it's a bit of a plug for us but I really want people to try out these machines. Thumbs Up

looking at the original press release I pasted the link to, it seems they have down scalled the bike.
If you look at the link and look at the panniers they look really good and as though they are ment to be there, Not the pics pasted here looks like they are a after thought????
Shame I may have been interested in the 2007 press release but not now, They have ruined it

The link you pasted is for the Victory Vision tourer. It's more of a Goldwing-type machine. The Kingpin is more like the Harley Road King.

They are bringing in the full range. We will have one in June, both the Street and Tour versions of the Vision. Thumbs Up

EDIT: Don't know where we're going to put them all though, they're not exactly small!

We're in Aberdare, South Wales. Anyone is welcome to the open weekend we are having. It's gonna be an American theme this year, last year was Italian. We had Italian food on the go all day, pizza and bolognese mmm. We got one of our customers to cook for us, he's an army chef and took some time out to help us out. Smile

Just took a picture of our Hammer S with the swept pipes on. Sounds a lot better than the standard exhausts and looks better too in my opinion. Went out for a blast last Wednesday, cruisers aren't my cup of tea I'll say that, but I still enjoyed it. The bike will go right down to 1300rpm in top gear and still pull nicely. Torque is a nice thing. Smile

I'd still prefer to ride a sportsbike or sports naked though, I'm just not ready to make the conversion to 'feet forwards' yet. Rolling Eyes

Here's the piccy:

Yeah it's 100 cubic inches or 1634cc. Sixth gear is overdrive and the bike will do 70mph at 2,500 rpm. Thumbs Up
