then im glad to say that the jinny's engine is based on the honda engine & does use most of the same internal parts...

erm bad copy, the metallurgy isn't the same for a start - which is why you don't see CeeGee's lunching their own engines.

The thing is tizdaz, if you stay on this forum for long enough, you will see the same discussion going around and around with an enthusiastic young owner like yourself defending their bike to the hilt.

Six, seven months down the line they are usually regretting buying their 'bargain' bike - yep people seem to get a decent bike out of it sometimes, but it is the exception not the rule.

I'd also suggest that this discussion is ended here as it has well and truely degenerated into personal insults with no actual value.

fair enough & i didnt want it to get to a mud throwing contest.. i was just trying to help someone out then i got accused of advertisin etc then it escalated from there tbh.

As far as im concerned this is done & dusted.. just think its rediculous that i try to help someone with knowledge ive got from owners & past owners then it gets hi-jacked, just didnt see the point.

Tbh, I didn't read any of that extreeeeeemely long post that tizdaz wrote, but it seemed from what I read it pretty genuine + anyone who can be bothered to write that much must be willing to help someone quite a lot and not a spammerrr.

Calling it a jinny is a good sign too you don't walk into a honda dealership and get asked to ride a ceebeebz. If he was advertising it he would say you should get a "JINLUN CRUISER JTTTTJTFHFCKU 11" because a "JINLUN CRUISER JTTTTJTFHFCKU 11" is great it will top out at 82 knots per hour etc.

Keep it up tizdaz, most people on this forum are just used to n00berrs.

edit: Read tizdaz's post, I saw nothing that pointed out that he was spamming or advertising just that he has clearly done his research on the bike and has thought about how to make it "safer"

Thumbs Up Karma

Yeah fair enough. Sorry I went a bit over the top. I'll delete my posts in order to reduce the spammage in the thread.

What I meant though when I originally said it sounded like an advert was the way you used emotive language and pictures well xD I didn't actually think you were advertising the bikes for some company. But then your reply baited me into argument Sad must learn self control.

You look as though you're abandoning your children!! Look at that eagerness etched into your face, "must get to the car, must get to the car,, before they notice daddy's gone.."

A Jinlun admirer, and a child abandoner. You really are the SPAWN OF SATAN.
-

I'm messing. I think you're not so wrong when it comes to the attitude many have here about Chinese bikes, and even if you were, some of the hostility you've encountered on this forum is ridiculous.

If anyone has any genuine horror stories about Chinese bikes, present these reasonably - don't just insult a man. Tiz daz was clearly not advertising anything, he had only a different opinion. If someone's opinion differs from yours, the adult response is to explain why, not shout and scream. Some people - such as R - have trashed what could have been a sensible topic on Chinese bikes, turning it into into a pointless slanging match.

Had an '06 Jinlun 125-11 from September last year till a few weeks ago. Commuted on it everyday - rain or shine. Bloody loved it. Cool

If you look after them they will serve you well (mine did anyway)

Honestly think they are not as bad as people make out.

Fact is - I owned one for a number of months and loved it. Thumbs Up

Just a word of warning mate - If it's brand new I would run it in carefully using the existing kit before you start changing filters or adding slashcuts etc.

I'm not completely sure so if you go to that jinlun forum and ask for advice you'll probably be able to get some help, but I think they need to be run in before you start altering the exhausts and filters ideally.

Probably a good idea to be keeping the original sprocket for a while until it's run in as well.

And ask for some advice about oil to use during the run in period as well. Many people use mineral oil for the first few oil changes when it's being run in and I've heard that's better to help with that process than sticking semi-synthetic straight in (probably a bit cheaper too).

As I say, I would get some other opinions from that forum first as my bike was already run in when I got it so other people there will be able to give you more definite advice.

From what I gather you need to treat them with a bit of care during the run in period to ensure they reach their full potential once that's complete.

cheers for info Zenarchy Smile

aye i will take my time during run-in, not gunna change anything (apart from oil!) during that period.

Afterwards though will be changing the chain/filters and will prob get some decent tires & later on some slashcuts Very Happy

cheers again mate Smile
