the bike over a car anyday

I'm restarting doing my drivings lessons for the car after 2 years from when i failed my test and oh god i way preffer the bike to driving in a metal box it feels so erm "numb" for use of a better word. its slow cant see any traffic half as good as on the bike cant really tell how close to the kerb i am when moving over for other traffic if i dare say it i feel more safe on the bike then i do in the car.

The only reason im taking my test is so i can get a new job as all the jobs i have looked at need a full uk driving lisence.

I get what you mean.

I'm 35, only have a bike licence so my wife drives us everywhere and I know it gets on her nerves occasionaly - but I find cars boring, and getting through that test would just cost me an arm and a leg and just feels like it would be a hugely tedious exercise. We wouldn't be able to afford two cars anyway.

I want to 80 and still riding, steel plates all over me, holding me together (probably!) with my 88 year old wife clinging to the back of me as we make jaws drop when we stop and get off!!

have you passed your bike test?

if so you already have a full U.K driving license, it just means you ride a bike and not drive a cage.

i have a full unrestricted bike lisence as iv'e been riding the sv for nearly 3 years now

Get it done before they make it even harder and more expensive, even if i never intended on driving i'd still just get it done, i passed my driving test and got a car first because of work, with it being winter and it's alot easier because i have a girlfriend who doesn't drive yet, so for those reasons a car is fine, but when summer comes i want the car to be stuck on the driveway for a few months, i hope!
