Aptitude test for the RAF, anyone done it?

I have been looking at the RAF for sometime now and and going to ring up for an interview, little concerned about the aptitude test, has anyone done it? failed, passed, how did you find it?

Yeah, I joined the RAF a couple of years ago, only to leave during basic training but that a different story .

The apptitude test is fairly easy, set up so that you can't answer all the questions in the given times I recon the quality of the answers is the important bit, not the quantity.

Its broken down into sections; maths, English, mechanical apptitude, spacial awarness etc etc, and depending on what you want to do you need to pass diferent parts with different scores, although its fairly easy if you have a decent brain.

I think if you fail you can resit in 6 months or something like that and you get one resit if I remember correctly.

did mine over 10 years ago and from what i can recall its multiple choice questions, one question with 4 possible answers ( 2 that are stupid answers and 2 possible ) Differents catagories to see which area you are strongest in so they can offer you certain trades relating to your score. When you pass dont let them fob you off saying certain trades are not recruiting as i know a few people who went into the careers office wanting to be mechanics and came out joining up as police scum or suppliers.

The computerized tests last several hours, some are easy some are stupidly hard. After that there is a medical, interview and team exercises.

I did my first airman applitude test for the RAF in 2003, my Mrs did one in 2007, and then I went to Cranwell for my fast tracker aplitude test (which luckily didn't include a spelling test!) in 2007 too.

I found it, as did she, by walking into the room, and it was sat on the desk.

Computerised ones are for air crew and officer, although now for direct enterant, maybe fast tracker if the trade still exists.

Depends what job you're going for and how badly they need you for that job, quickest I've seen was the form went in on the Friday, following Friday they had thier fitness test, and two weeks after that they started Halton.
