I was reading through my old service book for the bike and the most recent service (7500 miles, bike now has 11000 on the clock) there was a section for notes or reports, and in it there was a bit that said 'may have suffered a slight cold siezure' what the hell does that mean? when the guy spoke to me way back when he did mention somehting about a minor scuff on the piston head. should i be concerned, what can i do to keep the bike running smooth?

A cold seizure is when the bike is ran hard with in about 30seconds of start up. Best thing to do is get a new barrel really be on the safe side + you are problary got a loss of power from a cold sezure

yeh i have noticed there has been a serious lack in power recently.
How much will a new barrel cost? i will be selling it to my sister soon so i kinda would feel bad if i didnt try and help her and the bike out.

Cold seizeure if when the bike opens its thermostat so the coolant starts flooding at the barrel shrinks around the piston, if you've been ragging it before the thermostat opens then the barrel can shrink enough to seize it.
