Well took my bike to the bike shop,
chain was feeling too tight after it was too loose.

Using the special sidestand trick looked at chain and sprokets,
and has decieded there both mullered and theres a tight spot in the chain.

Cheapest i can find a set is 39.99 plus around 8 pounds delivery at This place

Bikes a Peugeot XP6 S
https://www.huntlymotorcycles.co.uk/mediac/400_0/media/BIKES_REVIEWS_PEUGEOT_XPS$2520SUPERMOTARD_Peugeot-XPS644jpgjpg.jpg

can anyone find any cheaper?
and how reasonable is 15 quid to fit both sprokets and chain?
cheers Cool

I guess that bike is a 125 tops, so will be a split link chain. It's something you could probably do yourself with a workshop manual and a torque wrench in about an hour or so.

£15 seems good if you're feeling lazy though.

I wish my C&S were £39.99!

Can't get your link to work.

As said, £15 is a good price to get the job done.

50cc chap,
The sprokets are knackered too, so i was guessing buying a whole set and replacing whole chain would be a good measure,
Apparently the parts are hard to find pattern, apparently the genuine pug ones are total wank
Said he paid 12 pound for a pattern sprocket for his 1000 gsxr
and fixed that link now. Smile

That link's still buggered for me. Confused

On a GSXR I don't think I'd be cutting corners, but that's just me. Wink

On a fiddy it's not like it has to deal with masses of power.

Depends which pattern parts. £12 isn't a million miles away from what Renthals cost for a front sprocket, so it's not stupidly cheap I guess.

£17, and their postage is pretty cheap too.

I managed to change my chain and sprockets without too much hassle. Bits of it are a 2 man job, and you'll need some way to keep the bike off the floor if you don't have a center stand or paddock stand. I used a load of concrete blocks piled under the engine.

Any other suggestions welcome.
