BCF map

Bord at silly o clock in the morning so i decided to copy another idea from the TDR250 forum

Google maps has a personal map section its been handy to members on the TDR forum for arranging meets and getting help from other members and i figured a similar thing on here would be useful.

Of course this could totaly fail meaning every single member of BCF and anybody else who happens to stumble apon my map will know where i live but im safe in the knowledge that there is very few things of value in my house and my bike hasnt run right for a good few years.

Anyway ive started by putting me on it clicky, locations from anywhere around the world can be added so PM me a postcode or road name or town name depending on how much your willing to let other people know and ill add you to the map

I'll try and keep it as up to date as i can

edit: i did do a search before and even after another search i cant find any sign of another similar map

Anyway if everybody thinks its a bad idea i'll delete it, no harm done was worth a try etc...

Rather than putting in your exact postcode, you could put in your town so that it's not a direct association with your address.

Unfortunately Korn hasn't implemented the map feature of the forum (see the button on the top right of the whole forum page)

EDIT: You need to make it editable by everyone in the options somewhere. I can't add my location to it.

Isnt there a map thing on this site already. Certainly shows my location when you look at profile. Have tried a google one on another forum and it failed to find my postcode and town.....

If someone wants help and i could offer it i would via a PM, you just don't want anyone turning up at your door at any time.

yep there is a site one but it doesnt show everybody and AKAIK it only does the UK.

As suggested above just do it by town name if you're worried about somebody turning up at the door.

Im still trying to find an option so people can edit it themselves, Im guessing it will only work if you have a google account though.

As has been mentioned see the top right corner.. it used to work, but..

Any map of the UK with everyone on it, soon becomes just a jumble of meaningless dots, that become so close together you can barely hover over them with a mouse, especially on a forum this size. Pretty meaingless.

I much prefer the current profile map thing, where if someone has given their location, it shows where they are, and in relation to yourself.

I think you need a google account, if you dont have one PM the location you want your pin and ill add one for you
