Well, that's me insured for another year. I managed to get it down to £640 this year from the same company. In case you're interested, here's the list of quotes I rang around and got (mucho cheers to G for the list on his site, which I nicked):

https://www.kornel.com/pics/insurance.gif

I asked for TPFT quotes with these details: 19 years old, full licence for 1 year, 2 years riding experience, 1 year NCB, TW2 postcode (London suburbs), garaged overnight, 10k miles per year, no claims or convictions. I left the commuting & pillion options on in the end, it didn't make that much difference.

cos i haven't run out on my current policy ive had to beef it up to cover my RVF and not my RS125, the RS125 was £320 TPO for the year and runs out in september, my RVF is £1600!! but I only have to pay £400 (TPF & T) to cover the remaining months.

Its all with motorcycle direct, who are a broker. They said my current insurence is with Zenith and im locked into that contract unless i want to loose my years no claims, but when it runs out they said with a different company 'Highway insurence' it would go down to £1200, but i'll shop around proply for my renewel Twisted Evil

My details are:
17, restricted licence, no points, one years no claims (ped at 16), garage, no alarm/imobaliser (yet) and i live in the suberbs of York

GET AN ALARM!!!! They're not expensive and can save you double on your insurance.
Mine's an Acumen, cost about £60 and nocked £100 of my insurance.
It took me 30 minutes to fit and looks cool when I walk away and press the arm button Twisted Evil

That is pretty good for London. Rampdale Insurance are also worth trying, i got 3rd party fire & theft for £500 on an rgv. (18, 1 yrs no claims, N.Wales). They dont ask for a restriction certificate either Wink

I've got an alarm (well ok I've taked it out at the moment) but it's a do-it-yourself type, most companies I rang wouldn't give a discount unless it was fitted by an insurance approved mechanic - which when I last looked cost a bomb and a half... Bastards, don't they trust you to splice a few damn wires ??? Twisted Evil

Good way to blag. Intall it urself then pay some wrench monkey £10 to check it works. (Sit on it when it's active) and he should give you a certificate. If not beat him around the head and body till he does:)

I Paid £430 for TPFT. 20, no NCB CBT only.
But mine's a 1990 NS125R/K.
Try H&R
