Hi again,

The bikes a Suzuki rg125f, I took the head off today and had a look at the bottom end and there's no excess play in the con-rod . When turning around the crank it feels nice and smooth as it should, but there's some rust on it and a little bit of rusty petrol/water in the bottom end. Does this mean that I'll have to strip it and replace parts or is it alright to use it as is? Also the barrels exhaust bridge is cracked horizontally (probably a 1mm deep), is this repairable?

Ta,
Jack

I'd strip it down myself, if something is rusty it means its got water coming in from somewhere, best to strip it down clean it of or replace said parts just to be on the safe side. (who wants to strip it all again if something does happen?) Thumbs Up

Thats all very true, I'm almost certain that the water was coming in from the cylinder head as it had been removed and left out in the rain. I can't see it coming in from anywhere else as its only covered 25k miles so it should be alright.

Ta,
Jack
