Parked my lil CG in the same carpark I have done since I started riding her, only to find in the evening after work the chain lock I put on it was under the back wheel. Slightly puzzled, I went to move it - and the damned centre stand wasn't actually fully engaged. Th bike toppled. In slow motion.

I tried my best to stop it of course, but to no avail. I did manage to slightly slow it's descent though, and thankfully there was no major damage. Very slight scrapes on the plastic under the tank, and the front brake lever is now bent backwards (still useable), but that was it.

Took about 10 mins to persuade the engine to kick in mind Neutral

I can only surmise someone tried to move it, didn't see the chainlock and scarpered without setting the stand back (lazy arse...)

Anyone know how much a new lever will cost? Crying or Very sad

And there is nothing worse than seeing your bike fall slowly to the ground, knowing you can't stop it Evil or Very Mad

a new lever is about a tenner new, nothing too bad.

probably much cheaper if you go to a breakers.

also, many honda parts are interchangeable, so try a superdream one... even cheaper!

A lever is going to cost £7 delivered from Wemoto.

There is worse, its being sat on it at the same time that it falls over.

But that generally protects the bike, at least Smile.

A few years ago I managed to flip a stoppie. Wasn't wearing any upper-body gear, but still had my leather trousers on. Didn't prevent all damage to the bike, but did help quite a lot Smile.

Bad luck mate, but at least it wont cost too much to right.

Although, I have to say, if you can't stop a CG from falling... you really need to start eating your porridge/spinach etc Laughing Thumbs Up

If you PM Sickpup...
(either on here or through www.mc-sp.co.uk )

It'll cost you: (for drum brake models)
£3.00 for the lever
£2.25 for P&P

Thumbs UpWink

Mr. Green

I was kneeling down behind the rear wheel at the time, fiddling with the chain lock... not a great deal I could do from down there!
