Hi,

I have a 'friend' who has had there car off the road for two years due to it being completely knackered...or so we thought. It's now up and running again and has an MOT, Insurance but no Tax for those two years. No reminder or fine has been sent from the DVLA as yet. Is it possible to declare the vehicle SORN for that period and then get tax to start as of now?

Also (completely unrelated) does anyone know the unlock code for moving a Samsung T100 from Orange to Vodaphone?

Any help with either of these would be awesome!

IMO I tried such a programme to unlock my phone (when moving to SA) and couldn't make the programme work. I think I even paid money for it.
I then contacted vodfone with my IMEI and they gave me the code for free (although they did take a few weeks to get organised).

Just done the exact same thing with my girlfriends car. It has been off the road since '99 with no reminders etc. Rang up dvla. They said declare sorn from the beginning of this year on a 'special' form and add a letter stating it's been off the road since the last time the tax ran out.

Did this form have a code so that I can quote it to them?

Thanks

If you ring a computer voice will tell you, but, if I remember it was a v870 but I'm only 90% sure about that.
