I finally decided to give my NSR a good clean after buying it, Unfortunately its brought up loads of scratchs and scuffs that i did not notice, its not really that bad but every time i get on the bike i get pissed because of them.

So does anyone know how much approx a spray is for a bike, i not sure what i really want it sprayed proberably just black but if you got a price for summit a bit fancier that would be great to.

Also (non-related) cheers to the author (korn or zimmer me finks) of www.nsr125.com the de-restriction guide and service guide just saved me a packet.

These scratches and scuffs have probably come from everyday riding, ie stone chips, the occasional wall that's to close etc.
Do you think it's worth paying out a fair bit of money just to do the same things yourself?
I'd have thought it'd be best to get something like that done soon before you sell it if anything, so that it looks shiny for prospective buyers.

Everything i have ever resprayed ends Unbelievably badly(usually lack of patients and crap paint). i might consider it but i have a few cracks so id have fill those first.

What are you using to spray your CBR with. If i do it i will probe ably hire a compressor though i'm pretty lazy so if the price is right ill pay somebody else to do it

For the cbr there was lots of fibre glassing to do and filling I am using halfords paint have done quite a bit of it with spray cans but I am doing the big parts with the air gun. It has probably cost me about 70 pounds altogether including fibre glass and paint also wet and dry etc. This has probably saved me about 450 pounds than having it done at a body shop.

I work for a car dealers (pah, I know but someone has to) and our bodyshop paints fairings at pretty good value .. but to a very high standard Very Happy

A full fairing retail is £220, but if you have 3 small script stickers (bottom of belly pan on each side and 1xseat unit), then it is only £200 .... BUT ... I have negotiated a discount for site memers and a full fairing can be done for £180 for any type of paint (pearl, metallic etc).

Drop me a pm if you are interested. Postage is usually around 15 quid Very Happy Here are some examples of my recently painted track fairing ...

Everyone knows that Daddy and daughter are inseperable and indistinct... so there's nothing wrong with a Daddy helping his little girl out. Very Happy
