Hi folks, I have posted this up in the regional forum closest but forgotten that they are subscription only forums...

Anyhoo here is the info :

Hi folks, one of the members on Bikechatter has organised a BBQ in aid of raising money for the Air Ambulance that covers all areas but is prevalent around Derbyshire, the trust is entirely privately funded so all help is appreciated and as a result of wanting to get a bunch of bikers together for a meetup he figured his garden is big enough to host around 100 of us so what the hell.

In any case it is on Saturday the 7th June and its out towards Alfreton (near Matlock), he is charging a tenner for the day which includes your single portion of the food available and once everyone has had their fill its a free for all to finish it all up, beer is available to buy and if you want to have a few jars more than legally allowed he is allowing people to camp out (apparently he has a large garden) but this is to be arranged with him prior to turning up. I have set him up a temporary email address that directs to his usual one just to keep his email address private from spammers and this is on the flyer.

I would appreciate any of you coming across for a run to support this cause, I am donating a few things for either a raffle or auction and he is trying to get hold of more donations from shops and bike related business. If any of you are considering coming over please show this in this thread, this is being advertised on a few bike sites but if you are a member of others feel free to post it about, he is hoping that people will be able to let him know an estimate of how many to expect over the course of a day so he does not over order the burgers and keep the money raised as high as possible.

So if you are considering coming over I think we can organise run outs as groups too which will be nice, please either let me know on here, bikechatter or Mark directly by email at bbq@bikechatter.co.uk

A quick update...

The prizes so far and still working on them so more to come:

1. A few products from Moovover.co.uk - gloves, armourn etc
2. CBT lessons from Full throttle, Stapleford.
3. 2 Days passes for Americana (Largest American show in Europe).
4. Jacket from Triumph.
5. 2 T-shirts and 2 mugs from Harley Davidson.
6. BMW have said they will donate, not sure what yet.
7. KTM have also said they will also, but dont know what.

These have been raised by Mark (the organiser) to make the auction/raffle really worthwhile.

cheers
