Snowboarding Boots

Hey,
I started snowboarding 2 months ago, passed all my lessons and have been going ever since. I travel to Leeds once every two weeks to the Xscape centre.

Ever since i've been going i've always had trouble getting boots that fit nicely. 10's are slightly too small and 11's slightly too big. 10.5's are a nice fit but thats with thin socks on. I've always worn size 11 bike boots and shoes, but these are not strapped to a board!

I've seen some boots im tempted to buy but was unsure whether to go for a size 10.5 which fit tight and snug or 11's which are slightly larger but would be comfy with snowboarding socks.

Any help with how thse boots should fit is greatly appreciated. Google searches are crap.

get hold of some vans boa's... theyre fantastic!
none of this fannying around with shoelaces either.

i used them whilst instructing for 2 years and never had a problem.

failing that, theres a pair of ex hire boots i somehow aquired from my snowboarding instructor days... size 12.5 though (im not that size either, theyre just HERE)
pick them up and theyre yours

I'd go with the 10.5

If they fit now with thin socks, they'll fit with thick socks when they pad out after some use.

My Burton DriverX's are very comfy and have bedded in nicely - that is after ~80 days on the mountain though

Some places will do you extra foam inserts for where it's loose around the boot when fitting in the heat boulded boot inserts (im refering to ellis brigham at the MK xscape slope but im sure other places do too) worth looking into i suppose

Another for Boa's althought they are pretty stiff so are better suited to all round work as oppose to freestyle.

iv got deluxe boa's aswell!!

i've worked in a snowboard shop and i'd always advise to go for a snug fit as it will pad out with use whilst loose boots won't tighten up with use.
