........tyre warmers.

Wasn't sure whether to put it in here or general, but I figured Id get more useful answers in here.

So anyone got any recommendations, at the moment I'm swayed towards the Mottrax SBK set for £169.

It's purely for trackdays at the moment and for when I start racing. I just figured it a wise investment since they extend the life of your tyres a bit.

Diamond Security are popular.
Chicken Hawk are v. good too but quite expensive.
I wouldn't use Motrax/Moto GP, Seen to many on fire to trust them near my bike.

Shocked Laughing

Just had a look at the Diamond Security ones, they look decent, cheaper than the Mottrax ones too. Thumbs Up

Had my Diamond Security ones for five years with no problems, I hear they have an excellent after sales repair service too.

Diamond security are decent 'cheapish' ones - I've heard bad stuff about moto-gp ones.

As Jay says, chicken hawk have a good reputation as have Cap-it (which I have and can reccomend).

If you're going to be using them outside, it's worth considering some kind of neoprene cover, but to my mind you want one that covers the whole wheel, not just the top of the tyre warmer as the cheap ones do.

I've personally used, Diamond, Cap-it chicken hawk and motogp.
Chicken hawk are easiest to fit, followed closely by Cap-it. Both of which give good tyre coverage and temperature.
Diamond can be a pain to get right until they have bedded to the shape of the tyre. And i'm not convinced the Moto-gp ones get as hot as the others, as a lot of heat escapes up away from the tyre.
