Really? It doesn't say anything on the tyre walls? What sort/make of tyres are they?
I always thought that it was meant to say on them, more as a manufacturer guideline than anything else. Confused Rolling Eyes

Hi

Normally all that is written on the tyre walls for pressure is the maximum that the tyre can be inflated to. Most of the time if you inflated the tyres to this level the handing would be very nasty.

Tyre pressures depend more on the bike and the load rather than on the tyre.

All the best

Keith

thanks for the input guys, the tyres are called something like 'super trac' not sure who makes them.

I'm not even sure what a reasonable tyre presure would be in tubed tyres on a small bike like this and I've been struggling to find a haynes manual in any halfords stores. If anyone can give me a figure in the right ballpark I'll give it ago.
