Yet more questions about biking on the continent!!

Apparently (although I did'nt see it) Bike magazine said that it is mandatory to carry with you a florescent/high viz CE marked tabbard thing with you, and it must be easily accessable. This applies to travelling in France. Is this true?

Whats the SP on filtering in French traffic?

I bought one with me but then it came with my medical kit for £1 more a high viz vest that is.

BUT I would recommend one for Northern France anyway , its often rainy cold and misty, Calais was on my outbound leg and only improved towards St Omar.

Filtering is OK,

I did alot of it in Reims, Dijon , Grenoble (lots and lots of it) , Chambery, Nice , Monaco and Paris, in paris nobody cares though, you see scoots do crazy things.

second that too you can get various first aid kits that have them inside halfords do them for £7-£15 depending how advanced you want to go even with a fire extinguishers!!
