Check your manual. It will tell you the best oil to use. Or there are tonnes of manuals on here.

Remember a good phrase my old man taught me;

Really good oil.

I'm currently using Hein Gericke's own brand 4T 10W-40 semi-synthetic 4L @ £13.99 It's seems okay but although JASO MA rated it's only API SG rated so check your manual before you buy. However, you can't really go wrong with the latest Castrol Power1 4T 10W-40 semi-synthetic as it's API SL rated so covers virtually all bikes.

Steve,

You will be OK to use 10-40 semi synthetic oil, its not a high performance bike so semi will do! Thumbs Up Wink

Brand wise?

They are all pretty much the same, just whatever you're most comfortable with.

When did anyone on here last have an engine failure due to the quality of the oil they used?

All the best
