Obviously not that mind blowing if he's only done 54 miles Smile.

Get a decent Crescent Suzuki package and pay less for probably more bike.
Or get an ex BSS bike and stick a plate on it for even more bike with even less spent!

So to conclude, more tart than 'beast' Razz.

Looks like his wife is getting the proceeds now she's going and good luck to her too. Perhaps she is claiming her half and the bike has to go.

Great bike but it is only a luxury.

There's been one riding around Crawley recently - probably the same example that was for sale in P&H a month or two ago.

Certainly gathered a crowd when parked up outside the shop. I'm pretty sure it's ugly though, from the front, the fairing looks like a swollen alien head, or maybe Timmy from South Park. Certainly sounds a bit different mind, although I reckoned the build quality was no better than a 1098.

What's so good about them? Why is it worth 5 times more than a brand new R1/ZX10R/CBR1000? Is it just the Ducati sticker on it?

In 2004, Ducati announced that they would be producing a low volume bespoke replica of the Desmosedici, available from 2006.

Termed the Desmosedici RR (Racing Replica), it was claimed to be the first true road replica of a MotoGP racing bike. Priority for ordering was given to Ducati 999R owners, with production projected at one bike per day at a retail cost of US$72,500[16] and GBP£40,000.[17] The price includes a three year warranty and servicing, cover plus a racing kit including an exhaust and an improved electronic control chip. Production has been limited to 1500 motorcycles.

The bike was eventually launched at the 2006 Italian MotoGP event at Mugello, with production beginning in December 2007 and the first customer orders delivered from January 2008. Ducati guaranteed customer orders will be fulfilled by the end of 2008. The entire allocation for the United States sold out in five hours.[18] American actor Tom Cruise is reportedly receiving the first production RR.[19]

Some bloke at woods bike shope in abergele last week bought a £40,000 Ducati. Some sort of 1098 I believe, wouldn't come out of the shop because there was a large crowd of people waiting outside to see this bike. Scared he'd drop it in front of people he said.
