Well we all have them, when something unexpected happens or we react slowly to a situation or you just worry yourself somethings going to happen then it dosnt, can be from anytime.

Mine was this morning riding to work down a 2 mile straight covered in diesel, could feel the back kicking all the time, got out of it without coming off.

and earlier doing 45 into a corner only to meet 5 people on horses, cue me dropping 3 gears. and hoping they dont all go mental and run into me Laughing

For a few weeks the road I had to go on to get to work had resurfacing going on and every time I went over the temporary surface the back slipped like a bitch at anything over about 10MPH. I then had to turn off a right angle junction while still on the weird slick shit.

More recently, just the usual going into corners too fast and not being sure I'll make it only to realise my limits are still a long way off the bike's

Dodgy overtake this afternoon on a hedgy B road that nearly ended nastily, did for my pants anyway.

Nearly slid out on a wet manhole (haha, manhole) on a corner.

southeastpete's got a good one for you Wink

whellieing down a road, someone pulled out on me, slammed down the front and hard on the both breaks to avoid being killed.
front locks up skipping along the floor, back locks up sliding left + right fish tailing. ended up sort of wedgeing myself between the car and an uncomeing car, still both wheels locked up. then breath a sigh of relif let go of both brakes and carry on trying to act cool, haveing nearley being killed and being tottally out of control of the bike.

My old man rammed my bike into the shutters in front of the house, no idea how he done it, but he rammed my 1000 into them and knocked one of the pillars infront of the house out of position.

Think he lost balance as he was coming up the step on the porch and as he was going off the side of the bike gave it gas.

It was a double brown trouser moment as he thought he was gonna kill the 1000 and I thought he was gonna not only smash the front of my bike but take out the 600 to.

Some how the only damage to the 1000 is a bit of paint transfer from the shutter on the corner of the nose cone and the indicator on the mirror has a big ol' crack and paint mark on it, will polish right out and I got some smoked indicator lenses coming.

Tis the 3rd time my old man has done something to the 1000 Laughing

I keep having moments on the 1000 where I give it to much gas out of corner and it gets mad head shake. But thats the fun of it.

Couple of my favorite brown trouser moments of late was putting my brakes on in the wet and them not working for shit and I just had to aim the 1000 down a line of traffic and just slide fully locked by all of them.

Same day coming up to a red light I had the bike literally go from lock to lock while fishtailing under braking in the wet, I blame diesel fully for that as it was right out side of a petrol station.

The rednecks enjoyed the show.

Also just the other night I pulled up behind a pickup full of rednecks in the bed, well I got the wheelie sign, this is while sat at a traffic light turning left.

Well I obliged as we turned they went to the inside lane and I hoisted it up in the outside lane, well the min I was coming up on them he started moving into my lane so I just aimed at where there was a gap and just squeezed by him and a barrier on one wheel, must of looked fucking awesome.

I was pissed off and relieved I didn't wheelie into his wing.

Didn't stop just dropped the front and pinned it Mr. Green

I've had similar. Not lock to lock fishtail (thank fukc), but had to go through a red light on a wet morning becuase there wasn't a chance in hell of stopping in time, and I didn't fancy using my arse as a brake!

i`ve had too many to mention.

losing the back end crossing white lines
speeding car coming round a blind bend in my lane
going round a bend at speed to find a massive lorry parked on the corner blocking my path.
cars rolling out at junctions forcing a swerve into opposite lane/oncoming traffic/up on the pavement
forgetting to do a lifesaver before changing lanes when i was on Lplates and almost getting flattened by a white van man.
Going down a busy motorway at 70 in heavy rain with a fog insert that didn`t work and left me completely blind swerving all the over road.
Hitting a wet man hole cover on a tight roundabout with a bald front tyre....that was fuckin funny.Have you ever seen a sportsbike rider act like he`s doing moto-x?...lmao

Well I was on my ped and going downhill and tried to go around this truck on an overtake which was driving really slow then it was only when I got into the centre of the road to see there was another car infront so I had to do the learner car aswell.

That happened to me tonight whilst on a ride after work. I was overtaking a car after he had pulled in to let me past, caught the back wheel on the white lines, unfortunately it was near to a bend and a car was coming in the opposite direction. Luckily, more by sheer good luck than good management I gained grip again and went safely round the bend, missing the oncoming car.

Going up the A1 on a cold, wet, evil winter evening, limited grip, back end keeps skipping out. I pull out to overtake a lorry, try to accelerate but the engine takes in a mouthful of spray and stalls. Pull the clutch in, coast back to behind the lorry and then try to start the engine before I get spanked by the car coming up behind me.

Had to pull over for five minutes because I was shaking like a leaf.

Worst trip ever.

I went for a slightly fast " left, right, left" around a roundabout and knocked it down a gear by accident whilst lent over, cue the back wheel locking up and flinging my out of the seat in a spectacular fasion. Managed to keep onto it though.

I had a close call tonight.
For a change,i was riding at the speed limit, slowing down for a zebra crossing, but the van behind obviously did'nt see the crossing.

Heard lots of tyre screech and looked in my mirrors to see the van sliding towards me.
I was still in 3rd gear at the time and i managed to slip the clutch with a hand full of revs to avoid him hitting me.
Luckily the women at the crossing had'nt started to cross or i would have hit her.
Tbh i did'nt even think to check(did'nt have time) if she had started crossing i just went into self preservation mode Confused
I pulled over as did the van driver to tell me how sorry he was.
I sat at the side of the road for a few mins trying to stop my hands shaking.
Guess you would have to be there when it happened as reading this it does'nt sound too bad.put the shits right up me it did.

tbh, if you'd have just sat there, if the pedestrians were on the crossing, doubt you and your bike would've stopped the van any sooner.

He has a point.
But what i was thinking is whos fault would that have been if you hit the women crossing but the van stopped in time?
Bet you would have got it in the neck.

Brown moment?

Nearly getting spat off the R6 under hard acceleration when she decided to get all slappy on me @ 102mph. I never actually shat myself but for a second I was definitely touching cloth.

I remember overtaking a van on the outside lane of a sliplane in Southampton when the git just drifted left and pushed me onto the gravel at the edge of the road. Cue me losing the back end and getting spat into the air as I closed the throttle. Fortunately I came down on the seat, wasn't one of these:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78lKWG8Y7q4 (oldest video on t'net)

but it felt bad enough to scare the crap out of me. Part of biking I guess Neutral

Cheers

Coming back from the 'Ring in 2006 we had to ride through the worst, most torrential rain i have ever experienced - it was worse than a typhoon!
The visibility was terrible, all i could see to ride by was the tail lights of my mate's bike, he was just following the lights of the car in front - we struggled to manage 50mph on the motorway. Despite wearing waterproofs over leathers the raindrops were so large and plentiful as to be physically painful where they struck my arms, neck and chest. Whenever another vehicle passed me, it felt like someone had thrown a full bucket of water at me.
Deciding it was too dangerous to keep going, we pulled up on the hard shoulder under a bridge - as i put my foot down, the standing water on the hard shoulder came up past my ankles.

Discussing the event later that night with one of the lads (who is an ex-club racer and general all-round lunatic/hooligan/stunter) - he shook his head slowly, sucked in a breath and muttered 'you know, that's the first time i've been genuinely afraid for my life whilst on a bike'.
