It's a family friendly bike wk end with 2 fantastic bands, camping, kids activitys and a ride out to the New Forest,. Its in the south west and there is a fab website, make sure you put it in the address bar as google won't find it! It takes place on 4th, 5th and 6th july. Hope to see you there! 15 pound entry on the door?
for a glorified get to gether.

which the bikers are whats making it a biker meet/day, so wouldnt it be more sensible to make it more worth their while.

Its a smallish weekend camping event in aid of charity with 2 very well known bands that both charge £10 each for 1 night, the whole wkend is £13 in advance. Lots of people thoroughly enjoy it and its been going for 8yrs. There is very little that goes on in this part of the world, if its not your thing then each to their own, what would be your suggestions?!

Thats exactly my point. Only spammers join forums just to promote products and events.

Absolutely not! I was very much intending on being a regular visitor to your forum, but after the very unwelcome comments i think i'll find another! Would rather not waste my time trying to let people in this part of the world know of something going on.

Thats the classic Spammers excuse IMO.

Plus the signature of a spammer is to post the same thing in different areas of the forum. Tut Tut

A quick tip, if you don't want your spam useful posts to be seen as spam:
Don't blatantly copy from another forum, where you've obviously also just joined (bit of a give-away there).
Don't post the same thing in multiple sections.
Get to know people by chatting before you post an event unless it is truely amazing (even then, people won't believe it and consider it spam anyway).

Thanks g apparantly the voice of reason on this occasion! I will bear that in mind! Just happened to get carried away with all of these forums by doing a google search and copyed them onto the forums, whether it is spam is a matter of opinion but that was not my intention and i fully intend to be a regular visitor to these sites! Alas a reasonable person!! Hello to you!

Hello and welcome - I don't know how other people have responded on other forums, but this one being one of the top results in google for many things, the users quite reasonably get tired with the number of people that come on here with the pure intention of promoting their own thing.
On the internet in general, most places of a reasonable size consider it fairly rude I'd say; something to bear in mind for future promoting.

To be fair, that's New Bikers, not Bikers new to the forum, but is still acceptable Smile.

South West accepting will depend on how often the mod for that area looks at BCF (I forget who it is now).
