Sorry, another tyre thread. I need some tyres for my new bike. Its a Yamaha Zeal and as most people haven't heard of it just think of it as a 250 hornet that's a yam. I want some tyres that will have good grip in the dry and wet and last quite long. Will be used for commuting and the some 'spirited' rides quite regularly.

Sizes are 110/70-17 and 140/70-17. I've found these sport demons, are they any good or can anyone recommend anything else?

Thanks, Carl

pirelli sport demon, bridgestone bt45 and michelin pilot activ

all are good, the pirelli are more sporty, the bt45's are the best of both worlds (soft in the middle, hard on the edges with Dual tread compound)
the michelins are long lasting and offer good grip but aren't as grippy as the sport demons when you really push it.

i use pilot activs on my GPZ500s and find them perfect.

Had the demons on my NSR, seemed very good. Lots of commute miles with the occasional blast. Thumbs Up

Just phoned wheel house tyres up. £160 fitted with a ride in ride out service or £147 fitted to loose wheels. Not too bad and my Dad says they are brilliant there. Just wondering whether to pay the extra and have them fitted back onto the bike as I've got a rear paddock stand and a superbike stand (that goes into the frame so both wheels can be lifted) but I'm not sure they will fit this. I haven't got a front stand either and don't fancy putting it on some jack stands like I do with my DT.

Will be easier to let them do it. I don't need to get a lift in a car over there either then.

I have just read they are cross plys though. Are they gonna be any good as I've only ever had radials.
