Hi all,I got a mate who's an owner of an RD400E,he's had this many years from practically new.its been sat in his garage since around 1985 when he blew the engine and 10 year ago he decided to do something with it.frame was powder coated, engine got new piston's but is only 80% rebuilt.Thats about as far as he got with it.The bodywork's colour scheme is not standard.

my point is.....

I'm thinking of offering him some money to buy the bike off him as it would make a great restoration project.I aint got a clue as to how much this is worth in it's current state.

Anyone got an idea to what I should offer? I know he can only say no but dont wanna make myself look a twat

The RD's are quite popular, try a few hundred quid and work your way up he can only say no.

Hi

You could try E-bay for a guide to prices
seem to fluctuate according to standard
but a rough guide none the less.
