I believe the movie Torque is out this weekend. Is it pants? That is the question. It is by the same guys that did "Fast and the Furious", a movie that didn't win any oscars but it entertained a 90 Minute slot in my life.

I think I will hear what the good people of the public (you guys!!)think before I spend my hard earned cash on a ticket.

Even if it is shit looks like it has nice bikes and babes in it! Very Happy

jus saw the making of it on men and motors, looked aight, just about exactly the same as fast n furious except with bikes and a different story line. Got a fair few nice bikes including the 150k y2k turbine bike which is the fastest road bike in the world: in theory could do over 250mph but they only got it up to something like 230 and then the guy who was riding it couldnt hang on any longer lol

Go see it, dosent look that bad Wink

Gangsters on bikes. Looks like complete tosh.

Save your cash and buy something useful Razz

Wonder if they've done the same as Biker Boyz and done a drag race on dirt, on bikes that have about 17 gears Laughing

Just starting watching it and its not that bad until you get to the bit where they are racing off road on sports bikes then there is the bit with the train which I can only describe as silly.

Oh yea, all the bikes don't quite look right in the off road bits, they seem to all have jacked up suspension.

As some know I have had it for the last 2 months on DVD and well it's... ok. I wouldn't spend the money on a ticket to see it (mind I get in the cinema free anyway Very Happy ). The stunts are good, but the CGI is very visable and the Y2K part is just total bollocks. Car windows blowing out and the exhaust blowing people away. Also I think they massica to many good bikes in it, it's just not on Neutral I could have done that for half the price of those stunt men!

It really is a shame... the film had so much potential, but they messed up with the off-road parts, the train thing, and fighting each other at stupid speeds, too unrealistic. As for the little 'animation' thing on the Y2K bike going through the city streets... well, what can I say...? Shame though!

I know what you mean; I think some of the scenes are shot with dirt bikes that have had fairings bogged on. If you look carefully in some scenes you can tell. The train bit is the most stupid thing I’ve 'ever' seen in a film and the chase scene at the end between the Y2K bike and the Harley are laughable, it's so badly computer generated that it looks like its been filmed in GTA and how on earth would a Harley get away from a bike capable of 200+? The acting is horrible although the blonde bit does a good job of looking sexy throughout the movie, the twin that one of his mates is riding sounds like an in-line 4 Laughing and the story is so bad that it makes Biker Boys look like Fast Bikes 2. Rolling Eyes

If you like bikes then this movie will annoy the hell out of you, if you want to waste a few hours then go see it but don’t expect to see a good bike movie.

I always hate films when they show 4x4s and normal Vans catching up to bikes. An example is mission impossible 2 when he's trying to get away from a van (or 4x4 thing I'm not sure) and he can't. They think we are stupid...

Heh Smile when you's doing that and where at?

Thing about this film if you go in expecting a realistic bike film your going to be disappointed, same with XXX and fast and furious etc. These films are just no brain action'y type films meant for a bit of light entertainment.

Don't over analyse them people. Very Happy

Laughing

That does sound like fun, every time something un-realistic happens just shot "oh yeah, right, like that would happen" or just boo the film. Although it would be funny to get really angry and start shouting that the film is utter <insert swear word> and you will be writing to the local paper to express you disgust in it. Very Happy
