Surely the idea of this is to see who does and who dosent? to have a "wrong option" is a daft thing to say.

Bike off stand, swing leg over from the left side (other leg is a bit mangled and gives way if I try from the right). Kick bike into life and ride into sunset.

Let auto lift stand come up.
Hold front brake
Swing leg over.

Having it on Stand is a palava, i dont want to be putting all the weight on the stand all the time.

the bike having a 36inch seat height and a top box makes it hard to do any thing else, bar a karate kick over the seat Very Happy

Leapfrog. Kind of painful if I forget it's the top box furnished scoot I'm trying to mount. Embarassed

If there's nobody whose back I can borrow, I have to resort to a springboard.

with the centerstand down 'cause that way you can start it and then roll off the stand and into the distance ( like the gendarmes do.)

Why would you put up the stand first? Seems like a waste of time. I walk up to the bike pulling my helmet and gloves on, keys in, swing the right leg over at the same time as starting it, sweep the stand up with a backwards kick, knock it into gear and away.

Kills me when I see people take about 10 minutes to get on their bike. Even when I have my disk lock on I'm off and away as quick as someone getting into a car, which for me is important as one of the things I love about biking is the lie in!

Flick my leg over and then knock the stand up with my foot left foot, kickstart the bike into life and ride off. It's easier to get on with the side stand down because the seat is slightly lower.

If it's on the mainstand I will knock it off first and then get on.

Depends on where I am, for example, if I'm leaving a saloon, I'll shoot a couple of baddies then do a backflip with a twist off the upper balcony, land astride the bike, key in, start, stand up then off leaving a trail of dust in my wake.

Thats quite rare though, normally its key in, helmet on, weird-leg-pushed-over-the-seat-from-the-side because the tank bag I bought doesn't fit on the tank but does go on the rear rack thingy. Gloves on, start, stand up then ride off leaving a trail of TDM parts in my wake.

In short, due to the tank bag, I can't get my leg over in the normal fashion. Crying or Very sad

Thumbs Up

side stand down, centre stand up.
From the left, hand on front brake, leg over once I have the weght of the bike then just tap the stand up, 1st gear swap leg to cover rear brake for slow control and I pull away.

I usually flick the stand up before I mount, it's not easier - it's not harder - it' s just the way it is.

From the left swing right leg over seat. Carefully lift bike up off the stand towards the vertical whilst reaching for the ground on the right with toes. If toes don't connect with floor slide back off to the left, push bike to flatter/more cambered/up againsta kerb position as required, try again.

If no other option available, call someone over to hold grab rail and ensure bike doesn't go too far over to the right as I attempt to get it upright off the stand again.

I get on from the right hand side, seems easier to bring the bike vertical that way, sweep left foot back to knock the stand up, then bring it onto the left peg, whilst starting bike (In neutral), knock down to first, ride off.
