My K3 GSXR600 has stood for alomst a year in my works multi-storey car park and now I've finally got time to get her sorted and back on the road, what can i expect to need doing? So far I've got listed:

New battery
oil and filter change
air filter clean/change

What about the chain? Its a dirty area, enclosed with cars using it every day so the dust/crap floating around is pretty bad, would it be worth fitting a new chain anyway?

And is there anything else I might need to get done?

I know im terrible for leaving her for so long but with a recent house move, shift change and holiday she kinda got pushed to bottom of the list Embarassed

Thanks in advance

Just clean the chain.

My bro's k3 sat in our garage for just under 1.5 years.

He cleaned the chain, charged the battery and started riding it. Thumbs Up

If you didn't bother draining the carbs you'll have to flush the entire fuel system, dismantle your carbs and clean the jets, they'll be chock full of sediment.

A new fuel filter might not be a bad idea, too.

Thumbs Up

K3 is injected, so clean the chain, change the battery + oil and filter and air filter and see how it rides. The brakes may need stripping but might be ok.
