It is with sadness that I tell you that Matt has has an accident Friday evening.

We don't know what happened or any other details apart from it sounds serious. Please don't ask or speculate as we honestly do not know all the details.

"He has had his spleen removed and his liver repaired, currently he is in Intensive care sedated after two trips to theatre.
He has a badly broken left leg, its in a cage top and bottom.
He is going for a CAT scan tomorrow to make sure nothing was missed, he was conscious at scene and in A and E so dont suspect head injury.
He will be in intensive care for at least a week."

I know that Friday he was on his way in a taxi to get new rubber fitted to both wheels of his new bike. So at the moment I am not sure if it was a car accident or he had got the wheels back on his bike and had an accident whilst testing the new rubber, he never came back to me on MSN to say he was taking the bike out.


He was stable overnight and today had a CAT scan which was good. He is still on a ventalator, but now it is only assisting his breathing not breathing for him.

He is still very poorly but slowly improving. His father has registered on here and will post updates and pass messages onto Matt.

Hope no-one minds me copying some of the posts from the stickied thread in the Northern Area.
