What is the point of this on a forum? None, thats the point.

I can understand it on commercial sites where the data on the previous page has changed and may affect the results of further pages, but if i go into a thread, post a reply and want to hit back after it has been sucessful - it expires.

PITA.

/Rant.

That's your browser, not BCF.

If it was my browser, then why don't all sites do it?

Hi

Sites with form data will do it.

It is your browser. If you use Opera it doesn't do it. Very useful if the site decides it is to busy to accept a post you have typed as you can press back and it is still there.

All the best

Keith

I'm using IE7 ( i know) - out of all the forums that i use though, this is the only one.

Perhaps i don't press back on the others.

I may retract the bashing towards BCF then and divert it to MS.

Hi

Generally they won't, but will if you are trying to go back to a page where you have filled a form in (ie, making a post, searching, etc).

Firefox does it as well.

And it is really annoying.

All the best

Keith

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 16 years, 354 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
