Tried researching but no luck. I have gone through a bottle of engine oil in the last 4-5 months had the warning light come on so fill it to maxium on dipstick. Then afew months later same i do keep checking just thought it would of last longer. The light is not a pressure its a level light before you say anything Laughing is this Normal?

Think i understand why ive done about 7000 miles in 6 months which is a fair bit maybe thats why its slowly going. Cant spot any leaks. No oil in coolant tank so doubt its head gasket going. Perfoamance is well fine nothing wrong and it run well. Does that sound about right? should i get it checked out? How long do you people on here have to fill up your engine oil in a time period and miles roughly? Rolling Eyes

ideally an oil change around 3000 miles is what i do.

although, a 4 stroke shouldnt actually burn oil.
check your cylinder compression. the performance loss may be what your used to.

go for a dyno and see if it matches the factory specs near enough.

I've heard of some people using a different rating oil to stop the problem of the oil being burnt with the petrol. Although this is just masking the problem rather than fixing it.
